The performance-oriented S6 has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive.
Sharp looks and the appeal of the Audi badge on the bonnet add to the A6’s desirability and there’s a generous level of equipment as standard.
Audi also sells an A6 Allroad, based on the Avant. This features rugged styling, a raised ride height, special body cladding and quattro four-wheel drive. The Audi A6 can be traced to 1968 to the original Audi 100 to be replaced in 1994 by the first A6.
