Audi A3

It’s one of very few Audis to share a chassis with VW.

Available Models:

A 3 – 3 door Hatch: 1.2T S, 1.4T S, 1.4T S auto, 1.6TDI S, 1.8T quattro, 1.8T SE, 1.8T SE auto.

The Audi A3 majors on comfort and ease of driving, with plenty of hi-tech options and a really high quality interior among its selling points. The looks may be a little conservative for some, especially when compared with its closest rivals, the BMW 1 Series and Mercedes A-Class.

As well as the standard A3, which is a three-door hatchback, there’s also the five-door Audi A3 Sportback, Audi A3 saloon, Audi A3 cabriolet and performance RS3 versions, too.

The sedan aims to deliver buyers a more compact alternative to the A4 while retaining a traditional four-door body style. Buyers looking to trim their fuel budget can order the A3 Sedan with a diesel-burning turbo four while those after a sportier driving experience will likely opt for the range-topping S3.

The A3 Sedan looks like a shrunken A4 when viewed from the outside. It wears an aggressive look defined by sharp headlights, lightly sculpted flanks, pronounced wheel arches, a discreet spoiler integrated into the rear hatch and triangular tail lamps.

The Audi A3 sedan can carry five adults and up to 15 cubic feet of cargo.

All A3 Sedans regardless of trim level and engine come standard with driver and front passenger airbags, knee airbags as well as front and rear side and head curtain airbags.

The list of electronic driving aids includes Multi-Collision Brake (MCB), traction control (ASR), electronic stability control (ESC) and Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD).

Key Competitors

The A3 Sedan’s arch rival in terms of price, performance and image is the Mercedes-Benz CLA250.
